Arrogant Cat came to us with the aim of placing its sophisticated boutique fashion label shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the industry’s most prestigious high-street brands.
Owing to the steady growth of retail business online, the company sought to branch out into e-commerce with a stylish and serious web presence that would reflect the culture and attitude of its clothing.
What We Did
The idea was to translate Arrogant Cat’s eclectic in-store environment into a smooth, direct online user experience.
Friends custom-built a fully integrated e-commerce site that for the consumer incorporated easy order tracking, customer account log-in and streamlined payment facilities with special features that would create a personal and tailored experience. A video player for showcasing catwalk shows of new products, online custom sizing and colour charts went hand-in-hand with fully branded email communications at every touch-point giving the customer freedom to navigate the site and interact easily with the company.
Arrogant Cat’s site architecture now supports multiple stock lines and allows them to continually update their product gallery along with an administration system that enables easy direction of both their retail and wholesale facilities.
What Happened Next
The design of the website was a crucial factor in the subsequent evolution of the client’s international brand and new high street locations.
With a strong new online presence and global visibility Arrogant Cat experienced a large and steady uptake of online sales. Over nine months the site received over eight thousand visitors a month. In the first six months more than 1000 new accounts were registered, increasing to over 3000 after the first year. Newsletter coverage has identified a following of over 4500 subscribers and a thriving A-list celebrity following and steady press coverage serves as testament to a great brand well presented.
