What can be done online to to engage an audience over a longer storyline and drive people back to the site over and over again to watch how the story unfolds?
Talkback Thames asked us to bring The Bill website to the forefront of contemporary internet capability, in order to improve user involvement and encourage repeat visits to the website.
Friends managed each micro-site through the course of a series adding links to characters’ profiles, their history, their personality and the interactive incident board. This built an online character presence that deepened the relationship between character and audience and expanded the series’ reach to a broader demographic – specifically 16-24 year olds. By creating online Case Files and an Incident Whiteboard we developed a way in which we could enhance the storyline in order to supplement the viewing experience.
